" Il più grande segno di successo per un insegnante è poter dire: i bambini stanno lavorando come se io non esistessi "

The Montessori Atlas

The Montessori Atlas is promoted by the LUMSA Research Unit of the PRIN entitled “Maria Montessori from the Past to the Present. Reception and Implementation of Her Educational Method in Italy on the 150th Anniversary of Her Birth” in collaboration with Opera Nazionale Montessori (ONM) and the ITC team “Shazarch”.

In view of a reappraisal of Maria Montessori’s educational method in a historical and pedagogical perspective, and in line with the state of the art in ‘digital humanities,’ the Atlas includes a list of headwords and a few digital repertories.

This research project on the great scholar from Chiaravalle and her still highly relevant work involves the following Italian universities: Bologna’s Alma Mater, Rome’s LUMSA, Milan’s Bicocca, and the University of Valle d’Aosta. The LUMSA Unit includes the coordinator, Prof. Paola Trabalzini; Cosimo Costa; Barbara De Serio; Raniero Regni; Nicoletta Rosati; Vincenzo Schirripa; Giuseppe Tognon.
